The EFA Studio Program will host a series of Arab women artists in a yearlong program, with the selected artists – Farah Al Qasimi, Ahaad Alamoudi and Afrah Al Dhaheri – becoming part of this vibrant, cooperative community. Working from a dedicated studio in the acclaimed 90-studio arts building in Manhattan, the artists will be part of a vibrant, cooperative community dedicated to fostering professional development and encouraging open exchange between artists, curators, critics, and the public.

The first EFA international partnership resident is Emirati artist and musician, Farah Al Qasimi – meet her during the EFA Open Studios and see a showcase of her work which locates the fantastic in the everyday and explores how consumer culture seduces people with promises of beauty or self-improvement.

EFA Open Studios is an annual event of the EFA Studio Program that invites the public to come explore and interact with member artists in the intimate setting of their studios. It is an opportunity to see the most recent works by artists at the site of their origin and to gain meaningful insight into their process of creation. The EFA Studio Program is a vibrant and diverse community of over 70 artists working in a wide range of media and artistic sensibilities.
