Born 1993 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Basmah Felemban is a graphic designer with a strong interest in Islamic art, reflected in works such as Jeem in which he first Arabic letter of both 'janna' (heaven) and 'jaheem' (hell) are interwoven using a geometric kufi typeface.
In Felemban's critical writing, she takes an interest in the socio-political issues prevalent in contemporary art from her region; a recent article Let The Walls Speak was published in pan-Arabic publication Mashallah News reporting on the growth of street art in Saudi Arabia.
